“Training management cycle and standards in delivery of trainings” of the Project “RCDN”

NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS OF MUNICIPALITIES AND PUBLIC UTILITIES STRENGTHEN THEIR CAPACITIES FOR BETTER SERVICES TO THEIR MEMBERS




Tirana, Albania, 26 June 2018 – Regional Capacity Development Network (RCDN) for Water and Wastewater Services in South-East Europe launched the first “Training management cycle and standards in delivery of trainings” for the appointed 13 Focal Points from associations of municipalities and associations of  public utilities from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
The training aims at improving the capacities of RCDN partner associations for quality delivery of trainings and other capacity development measures by established RCDN Quality Standards.
The training is held in period between 26 and 29 June 2018, at Rogner Hotel in Tirana. The trainers’ team consist of renowned experts in the capacity development field, who have designed interactive and practical training with a particular focus on personal development of trainees.
The event is organised by the RCDN Project Implementation Team that consists of three member organisations, International Association of Water Supply Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area (IAWD), Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS) and Association for Water and Environmental Protection Sector “Aquasan Network in B&H”, and with support of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
“Being able to deliver quality services to our members is a key motivation for our Association. This training builds our personal capacities, as well as institutional, taking into account the main roles and responsibilities, but also enables us opportunity to share our experiences from various contexts” pointed out  Mrs. Mirjana Bekcic Vicentijevic, Focal Point of APUC.

The RCDN aims to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of public utility companies (PUCs) and local governance units (LGUs) in South-East Europe, and contributing to better service provision in getting access to drinking water and sanitation services and meeting the EU environmental acquis communautaire.
The RCDN is funded by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

First initial meeting

inicijalni sastanak 1At the First initial meeting, held on 09.07.2015. in the Regional Chamber of Commerce Niš, 4 working groups were defined that will be dealing with most important questions of the water sector. Every local self government, or waterworks WASS member will according to the interests and needs delegate one representative within offered working groups. Every topic will be analyses both from the economical as well as technical point of view.
Working group 1, that will be dealing with: assets management and benchmarking
Working group 2, that will be dealing with: energy efficiency
Working group 3, that will be dealing with: water supply
Working group 4, that will be dealing with: waste water collection and treatment

Founding Assembly

osnivacka skupstina 1The Founding Assembly of the Association for water protection and preservation in the South of Serbia took place on 09.06.2015, at 12 o'clock, in Dobricka 2 Street.
Formed Association for water protection and preservation in the South of Serbia gathered and united 25 utilities for water supply and waste water collection in this part of the country. The Association will act as representative of the members' mutual interests, utilities' capacities strengthening, promotion of the innovative technical solutions as well as creation and development of the mutual programs and projects.
